Dawn Reed has worked in homecare administration for the past two decades. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees in education from McNeese State University and has experience as a secondary teacher. Being a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality since 1999, and a former board member for Homecare Association of Louisiana, Reed has been a director and an executive in home health, hospice, medical equipment and personal care services agencies of Health Systems 2000. She currently directs the Health Systems organization in preparation for accreditation with The Joint Commission as well as State and Federal surveys. On a day to day basis, she leads and assists in complaint resolutions, policy and procedure development and implementation, Medicare revalidations, insurance credentialing, human resource management, and performance improvement initiatives. Additionally, she trains and directs new and developing managers and supervisors.  She helps them to develop their individual management styles and reminds them of her favorite adage:  "Don't expect, if you don't inspect."
